Diana said, “Orange County is dedicated to retaining and growing businesses and the Accelerator provides the tools for companies like Array Optronix to grow and prosper. With the help of Empire State Development, Orange County IDA and Orange County Partnership, Array Optronix has tremendous opportunity to bring high-tech, high-paying jobs to Orange County.”

James R. Petro, chairman of the Orange County IDA, said, “Orange County Business Accelerator is very accessible to businesses in need of support services. The Accelerator has proven to be a great resource for early-stage startups. Array Optronix has come to the right place.”

Array Optronix, a California company, is in the growing field of optoelectronics, or the study and application of electronic devices that source, detect and control light. Array has developed technology and established international patents for photo detector devices that advance the state of the art for X‐Ray CT scanners in the medical and homeland security markets.

Array has delivered preproduction samples and generated sufficient customer interest to warrant establishing a manufacturing operation and has selected the Accelerator as its global headquarters to support its products in leading segments of the economy. Array will utilize 1,800 square feet of space at the Accelerator, bringing the Accelerator’s occupancy rate to 94 percent.

DiTullo added, “This has been a team effort on the behalf of numerous agencies from the start. Array Optronix has projected the creation of 25 jobs in its first three years and up to 100 jobs in its first five years. These are high-tech, high-paying jobs right here in Orange County. That’s what the Accelerator is about – real jobs, real close to home!”
